A Difficult Decision – But Looking Ahead to 2027

It is with heavy hearts that we announce our two young Splendacrest riders and horses will not be travelling to Romania for the 2025 FEI World Youth Endurance Championships.
Despite our very best efforts, the time frame available to raise the substantial funds required for this campaign was simply too short to achieve what was needed. The early departure date from Australia of 6 August also meant large additional costs in Europe.
This outcome is deeply saddening for everyone involved: riders, families, supporters and organisers, who have all worked tirelessly with the dream of representing Australia on the world stage.
To our wonderful community who supported our fundraising projects so generously, we can’t thank you enough! Please know that all funds raised are being securely held by QERA (Queensland Endurance Riders Association) for the express purpose of covering horse transportation costs to future World Youth Championships.
Your support is not lost, it is invested in the long game.
We remain committed to the international development of our youth riders, and we’re now shifting our focus and energy towards the 2027 World Youth Championships.
Fundraising will continue, including the current 2026 Tom Quilty Raffle, and other exciting initiatives planned over the coming two years. Our dream is very much alive — we’re just remarking the trail!
Thank you again for believing in our riders and in the future of Australian endurance, and thank you for sticking by us.
